Fan Free Clinic (FFC) wishes to thank the employees of Altria for once again choosing us as the recipient of funds disseminated through the Altria Companies Employee Community Fund. Our 2009-2010 award in the amount of $15,000 will be used to support our Food Pantry Project—specifically for food purchases. FFC’s Food Pantry Project helps more than 400 clients and their families each year.

The Altria Companies Employee Community Fund (ACECF) was founded in 2000 because employees wanted to be more actively involved in helping local communities. The Fund continues today as a workplace-giving program administered and managed directly by employees. Employees choose the Fund’s annual focus areas and nominate organizations to apply for support, and an employee committee selects the grant recipients. Since its inception, the ACECF has awarded more than 1,000 grants totaling over $27 million in North Carolina and Virginia.
Altria Group makes an annual contribution to the Fund and pays for its administrative costs. This ensures that every employee dollar raised goes directly to support non-profit organizations in our local communities.
