Client Support & Mental Health Services
Fan Free Clinic’s Client Support & Mental Health Services Department works with clients to empower them to secure resources such as substance abuse services, safe and affordable housing, and medical treatment. Clients work to develop a plan that will allow them to meet their goals and tackle barriers one by one.
Available services include:
- Coordination of access to medical, social, educational, legal, dental, employment and other community services
- Assistance accessing social security, unemployment, Medicaid, Food Stamps or other public assistance programs
- Assistance identifying and securing housing
- Housing stabilization assistance
- Food pantry and nutrition services
- Mental health counseling & support groups
- Transportation assistance for medical appointments
- Social activities such as a monthly bingo night
- Complementary therapies (e.g., acupuncture, reflexology)
- Referrals to job training and money management services
- Education specifically targeted toward people living with HIV/AIDS, including medications adherence counseling
- Referrals to infectious disease and general medical providers, substance use/abuse services, clothing and household furnishings
