The roots of Fan Free Clinic's education programs run deep within the communities we serve.

Our staff of dedicated, highly-compassionate professionals, plant seeds of information for men, women and youth concerning sexual health.

Targeted, culturally appropriate health education is delivered through the following programs:

 

  • Risk Reduction for the Workplace and Schools
  • Provides speakers and prevention specialists to discuss risk reduction for HIV and sexually transmitted diseases in our community.
  • Healthy Communities Program
  • Provides prevention education to women in high risk communities.  This series-based program focuses on self-esteem, negotiation skills, birth control, women's health, and HIV/STD prevention.

  • Speakers Bureau
  • Provides speakers for health fairs, community awareness programs, fund raising events, and other events where our services are requested.
  • Men on the Move Mentoring Program
  • Provides prevention education and mentoring to at-risk male youth.  This series-based program focuses on self-esteem, job preparation, fatherhood, drug abuse, and HIV/STD prevention.
  •  
  • Men 4 Men
  • A program designed to provide outreach to men who have sex with men (MSM) of color.  Provides referrals, educational information, and testing to the MSM community.
  • Substance Abuse Education Program
  • This program provides prevention education to men and women residing in substance abuse facilities.  This series-based program focuses on cancer, breast health, birth control, and HIV/STD prevention.
  • Henrico Waiting Room Program
  • Our prevention specialist works one-on-one with patients who attend family planning, STD, and maternity clinics of the Henrico County Health Department.  This program focuses on self-esteem, domestic violence, condom negotiation, and HIV/STD prevention.
  • "Stomp 4 Life" Youth Program
  • Open High School students participate in an education group that utilizes hip-hop to educate the community on the risks of and prevention of HIV and sexually transmitted diseases.
