Food Pantry Project
The Food Pantry Project has been a successful part of FFC’s programs and services for more than 10 years. The goal of this project is to ensure that all clients in need of nutritional support referred to Fan Free Clinic receive access to the Food Pantry services intended to improve general health and well being.
Some food is obtained from the Central Virginia Food Bank, area supermarkets and through donations from numerous community, religious and academic agencies. Supplies are distributed on an as-needed and emergency basis determined by client eligibility and in amounts that are based on household/family size.
Fan Free Clinic (FFC) is often asked by businesses, civic groups and faith communities: “How can we help?” To answer that question, we have developed an initiative called COINS, CANS & HANDS. You can help us continue our work to provide medical treatment, health education and client support to those in greatest need through this initiative.
